Center of Waste Management Indonesia (CWMI) is proud to announce that our Founder, Dr. Eng. Bayu Indrawan, has been invited as a Keynote Speaker at the prestigious Training Course on “Zero Waste Strategies for a Greener Future”, hosted by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC).

The training will be held online on 16–17 July 2025, bringing together global experts, policymakers, researchers, and sustainability practitioners from across the OIC member states to exchange knowledge, strategies, and innovations in waste reduction, circular economy, and sustainable development.


🌍 A Platform of Global Impact

Headquartered in Ankara, Türkiye, SESRIC is a prominent institution under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), working to foster technical cooperation, capacity building, and sustainable progress across more than 50 member countries. The upcoming training course is one of SESRIC’s impactful efforts to empower countries through knowledge exchange and collaborative action on environmental challenges.

CWMI is honored to represent Indonesia in this global dialogue and contribute solutions from our local and national experience to the broader international community.


🎙️ Keynote Session by Dr. Bayu Indrawan

On 17 July 2025 at 13:00 Ankara time / 17:00 Jakarta time, Dr. Bayu will deliver his keynote session titled:

“Tech-Driven Circular Economy: Innovations from Indonesia’s Waste Management Ecosystem”

In this session, Dr. Bayu will explore how Indonesia is leveraging technology, community-based systems, and public-private collaboration to build a resilient, inclusive waste management ecosystem. From data-driven sorting and digital monitoring tools to local RDF facilities and grassroots composting movements, his presentation will showcase real-world, scalable practices shaping the future of sustainable waste solutions.
