Dr. Eng. Sri Hastuty is a distinguished Mechanical and Materials Engineering Expert dedicated to advancing sustainable technology solutions through engineering innovation, scientific excellence, and responsible energy development. With more than 20 years of experience in research, education, and engineering practice, she has built expertise at the intersection of advanced materials, thermal systems, and sustainable energy infrastructure.

Driven by a commitment to developing resilient and future-ready technologies, Dr. Hastuty specializes in thermal system engineering, material reliability, corrosion mitigation, and mechanical integrity of energy conversion systems. Her work addresses critical challenges in modern infrastructure, ensuring that energy technologies are not only efficient but also reliable, safe, and sustainable throughout their operational lifecycle.

She currently serves as Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universitas Pertamina, Indonesia, where she leads academic transformation, research advancement, and innovation initiatives in energy and sustainability. Through her leadership, she continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and researchers to create solutions for global energy and environmental challenges.

Dr. Hastuty earned her Doctor of Engineering degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, with a research focus on corrosion and material reliability in thermal systems. Her extensive research portfolio includes high-temperature materials, failure analysis, surface engineering, thermal barrier coatings, and advanced technologies for improving the performance of industrial energy systems.

As a Mechanical Engineering Expert at the Center of Waste Management Indonesia (CWMI), Dr. Hastuty contributes to the advancement of Indonesia’s transition toward a circular economy through the development of Waste-to-Energy (WtE) and PSEL solutions. She provides strategic technical expertise in feasibility studies, technology assessment, engineering design evaluation, and performance optimization of waste conversion infrastructure.

Her contributions support the development of next-generation waste management systems by addressing key engineering challenges, including incinerator reliability, boiler performance, heat transfer efficiency, corrosion resistance, and long-term operational sustainability. Through the integration of mechanical engineering excellence and environmental innovation, she helps transform waste challenges into opportunities for clean energy generation and sustainable development.

Beyond technical expertise, Dr. Hastuty believes that engineering plays a fundamental role in shaping a more sustainable future.
